PELSAA Membership

When you join the PELS Alumni Association (PELSAA), you will receive a membership card, PELS Uniform Ribbon and PELSAA Pin. As a member, you will enjoy reduced rates for registration fees and hotel accommodations at PELSAA training programs. You will also have the opportunity to meet and network with other PELSAA members from throughout the tri-state area at PELSAA trainings and events.

Dues payments are $30 a year or $150 one-time payment for Life Membership (available only to retired members), and go towards supporting our programs and the programs of the Virginia Police Chiefs Foundation. The membership year runs from July 1 to June 30. To renew your membership or apply for new membership, please select the PELSAA Membership Application above and mail the completed form along with your annual dues payment to:

*In order to keep costs down, credit cards are not accepted for payment of PELSAA dues.

The types of membership available are Active Membership, Affiliate Membership and Life Membership. Active Membership is available to those persons who have successfully completed the Professional Executive Leadership School (PELS). The cost of dues for Active Members is $30 annually. Affiliate Membership is available to those persons who have successfully completed the Institute for Leadership in Changing Times (ILCT). Affiliate members are non-voting members. The cost of dues for Affiliate Members is $30 annually. Life Membership is available to members of the association who have retired and have been an Active Member of PELSAA for the two years preceding application for Life Membership. Life members retain their voting privileges and pay a one-time membership fee of $150.
